The environment of a classroom has been a community that has been ever changing for hundred’s of years. Each classroom has made room for children to have a place to explore, learn and grow from the environment around them. The connections they make inside the classroom translate to greater connections and a sense of belonging within their communities and at home. Here we will begin to explore the sociospatial dialect within the classroom, and how the sense of community and belonging have changed since transitioning to an online format. We are also including teachers in the elementary and high school levels and sharing their thoughts and struggles they have faced with the shift in classroom. In the following pages we will touch on the new struggle teachers are facing with the hybrid-model since schools have re-opened on June 1, 2020.  Also included is a parents comments on how her child has felt the affects of the shift to online learning.
